Creating and managing FTP accounts
How to create an FTP account in your BRI Windows hosting control panel
Step 1: First you will need to log into your BRI hosting control panel by opening up a web browser and navigating to https://www.brihosting.com/cp. Once here, you will need to log in using your control panel log in email address and password (your control panel log in email address and password was sent to your control panel administrator email address when the hosting package was created).

Step 2: Once you have logged into your BRI hosting control panel, click on the “System” tab located at the top right corner (outlined in the screenshot below).

Step 3: Once you have clicked on the “System” tab you will be in the subscription management section of your control panel. From here click on the “FTP Accounts” link located in the left hand column under the “Hosting” section (outlined in the below screenshot).

Step 4: Once you have clicked on the “FTP Accounts” link you will be taken to the FTP account management section of your control panel. In here, locate the “Add New FTP account” button under the tools section (outlined in the below screenshot) and click on it.

Step 5: Once you have clicked on the “Add New FTP account” button on the FTP account management page you will be at the FTP account creation page. In here you will need to specify an FTP account name and password as well as specify the home directory of the account. You will also need to make sure that you check both the “Read permission” check box and “Write permission” check box. Once you are done filling in the information for your new FTP account click on the “OK” button (located in the screenshot below).

Step 6: After clicking on the “OK” button on the FTP account creation page you will be taken back to the FTP accounts management page. At the bottom of this page you will notice the “FTP account section, here is where all created FTP accounts will be listed. You will see your new FTP account in this list. If you wish to delete an FTP account you can do so by checking the checkbox next to the account and then clicking on the “Remove Selected” link directly under the FTP accounts section title (outlined in the below screenshot.)

Step 7: After you have clicked on the “Remove Selected” link to remove a specified FTP account you will be taken to a removal confirmation page, on this page you will need to check the “Confirm Removal” check box and click on the “OK” button (outlined in the screenshot below). You will then be returned to the FTP account management page.

You have now learned how to create and delete an FTP account in your BRI Windows hosting control panel.
