Creating a database
HOW TO CREATE A DATABASE IN YOUR LINUX BRI HOSTING CONTROL PANEL
Step 1: First you will need to log into your BRI hosting control panel. To do this, open up a web browser and navigate to the following URL: https://www.brihosting.com/cp.

Once here, enter in your username and password that were sent to you by the “admin@brihosting.com” email address when your hosting package was created and click “Sign In” (the username will be the primary contact email address of the hosting package administrator).
Step 2: Once you have logged in, click on the “System” tab at the top left (outlined in red in the screenshot below).

Step 3: Now, in the column on the left side of the screen, scroll down to the bottom until you locate the “Services” section. Under the “Services” section, locate “Databases” and click on it (in the image below the “databases” link is inside of a red box).

Step 4: On the next page click on the “Add New Database” icon under the “tools” section (icon is inside of red box).

Step 5: On the next page you will need to specify the name and type of database. Configure these settings to your own preference. Now click “OK” (If you are creating a database in a Windows BRI hosting package, you will have the option to select “MSSQL” from the “Type” drop down box in the outlined in the screenshot below. If you are creating a database in your Linux BRI hosting control panel, you will only have “MYSQL” available as a database type in the “TYPE” dropdown box located in the screenshot below.

Your new database has now been created.
Step 6: Now you will need to create a user account for your new database. Click on the “Add New Database User” icon.

Step 7: Enter in your desired database username and password into the corresponding field and click “OK”.

Step 8: You will now see the database user account that you have just created listed under “Database Users”.

You have successfully created a user for your new database.
