There is no other way to put it: Spam is a hassle.It takes time to delete, it eats up space in your mailbox, it’s insulting, it’s often pornographic, and I’m just tired of it.Blue Ridge InternetWorks bets that you are too.

BRI now offers anti-spam services! With a basic price of $2 per mailbox per month, it is worth it.Working with your email administrator, we redirect all of your incoming email to our servers. Your email gets scanned, securely for spam and viruses. If a virus is present or the email is spam - we throw that piece of email into jail. If it is not, that piece of email is forwarded directly to you.

Early each morning, we send you a single email that lists every single piece of spam you received the prior day. At that point, you can choose to delete it, release it, or just ignore it - spam is automatically deleted from jail after 5 days.

If you prefer, instead of us storing the spam on our servers, we can mark each piece of spam as spam - and you can let your email program deal with the spam (using something known as “Inbox Rules” or “Inbox Assistant”).

Each domain that we scan for spam can have separate settings, and if your email administrator desires, each user can custom configure their own spam settings.

At BRI, we use the same anti-spam solution ourselves. We have the spam filter set to EXTREME. It catches almost all spam, with very few false positives (and most of those are newsletters that some could consider spam). We’ve gone from hundreds of spam in our mailboxes each day to none or just a few.

The anti-spam technology we use has a 98.2% spam catch rate! Anti-Spam doesn’t get any better than BRI’s solution. One of our first clients to use our anti-spam solution had this to say:

What is Remote Backup?

BRI Remote Backup is a service that securely backs up the files on your workstations or servers to a central backup server hosted in our data center. The service includes a software application that runs on your Windows-based computer and allows you to select the files you want to be backed up. That’s it! The service efficiently uses your high speed Internet connection to securely back up your files. If you need to recover a file you can log into a secure web interface and select the file you want to restore.

How much does it cost?

Remote Backup service is priced by the amount of data you need to store on our servers. There is a onetime setup fee of $200 per computer, and a minimum monthly fee of $50 per computer which includes 4GB of storage. Additional storage is $8/gig per month. Our backup software greatly compresses the data so that your storage needs can be as little as 50% of the space the data uses on your server or workstation. Contact us for a free estimate.
