Our History
Owners Baylor Fooks and Jeff Cornejo founded Blue Ridge Internetworks, a Virginia Limited Liability Company, in 2000 with the mission to provide businesses and enterprises high-value network services. Today BRI’s staff of more than twenty engineers plans, designs, implements and maintains high-speed data networks for more than 800 customers. BRI engineers are highly qualified, holding certifications such CCIE Routing and Switching, CCIE Security, CCDP, CCNP, MCSE, and various other network-related accreditations in subjects such as enterprise wireless networking and voice over IP.
BRI’s facilities consist of a 1,100 square data center located in Charlottesville, VA, which serves as the network operations center and managed hosting facility, and partner data centers in Dallas, VA and Ashburn, VA. The Charlottesville NOC is connected to four Internet backbone providers via fiber optic transport. The NOC and support center is staffed twelve hours per day and monitored all other times by on-call engineers. BRI’s network services have exceeded 99.99% uptime throughout its nine-year history. In 2007 BRI opened an office in historic downtown Staunton, VA.
